For hundreds of sailors and spectators, a long-standing Father’s Day tradition continued when Dallas Race Week launched on Sunday, June 16 on Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall.

Six days of racing action, beautiful sunsets, pre- and post-race parties took place while the presentation of community grants were held on Friday, June 21. The entire community was invited to go out and enjoy Friday Family Fun Night festivities at The Harbor. The Rub performed live, trophies were awarded to the area’s top sailors, and prize drawing winners were announced.

Dallas Race Week dates back to 1982, bridging the week of Summer Solstice. For the past nine years, the regatta has benefited the community service projects of the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club. Our mission is to provide funding for programs that address issues of poverty, hunger, illiteracy and health care affecting the local community.

Dallas Race Week has an event history going back to 1982, always bridging the week of Summer Solstice in June and held on Lake Ray Hubbard. Over the years, it has evolved into a charity event to benefit the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club.
