In keeping with its motto--Service Above Self--Rockwall Breakfast Rotary (RBR) recently delivered winter coats to 198 students at Dobbs, Jones, and Springer Elementary Schools. Pictured above are representative students at one of the three schools there to greet us and accept the gifts on behalf of their school and the RBR members who were able to participate in this joyous occasion.

"Coats For Kids 2009", now in its fifth year, is one of RBR's particularly rewarding annual programs serving the Rockwall community.  Virtually nothing is quite as rewarding as the look on a child's face when they receive a gift. It is even more rewarding when it's something they really need. The annual coat drive, which initially started in conjunction with Dobbs elementary and has since grown to three schools, has become a favorite activity for Rockwall Breakfast Rotary. Mike Lucas, our Community Chair, did a great job of leading and organizing this year's drive the drive which supplied more coats than ever before.

If you have an interest in giving back to our community, guests are always welcome to join us at RBR's weekly Tuesday 7-8AM breakfast meeting on Goliad Street where a different speaker addresses us on a topic of common interest to all.  See Home Page for more information.
